We get it – not everything can be about work. DEKA employees benefit from flexibility and independence not offered at those big-name bureaucracies. With frequent events, extracurriculars, and amenities, we encourage each employee to hit their stride, both inside and outside of our brick walls.
Events
DEKA often hosts employee events both inside and outside of its walls. From luncheons, game nights, crafting sessions, spin classes, and yoga retreats to family events for all to attend, DEKA makes sure you have ample opportunity to put down those calipers and let loose.
Flight Club
Always wanted to learn to fly? DEKA has you covered. Employees have the unique opportunity to take flying lessons from licensed pilots on our private plane. Take a lesson or two, or even work up to a solo flight. The sky is your oyster, and at DEKA, you’re encouraged to spread your wings.
Holiday Gift
DEKA’s Annual Holiday Party is always one of the highlights of the year – but it has nothing to do with eggnog or mistletoe. Each year, employees get together and secretly work on creating a one-of-a-kind technical ‘present’ for Dean to unveil at the party. These marvels of engineering ultimately go on display at Dean’s house, or stay on the DEKA campus for employees to use.

Office Amenities
DEKA encourages all its employees to live an active and healthy lifestyle, and they make it even easier for people to do so, by providing an on-site workout facility. Before or after work, or even during a lunch break, you will find employees taking advantage of treadmills, weight machines and all sorts of other equipment to help stay fit. Brains aren’t the only muscles being worked around here.
When employees are hungry after working out, or just simply working, DEKA offers an on-site café. It’s the perfect place to grab coffee, meet for lunch or sneak in a quick bite.
Sports
If you build it, they will come.
Dean built a ballfield at his house, and DEKA’s hosts its own softball league there. No one has to be an ace on the mound to participate – it’s just another way DEKA encourages teamwork and an active lifestyle.
Employees also get together to play soccer, tennis, ultimate frisbee, go rock climbing, skiing and much more!
