With the resources of a big-city business and the culture of a small-scale syndicate, DEKA brings its cutting edge technology from New Hampshire to the world.

Into the DEKAverse

Located in the heart of the historic Manchester, New Hampshire Millyard, DEKA Research & Development has been designing, manufacturing, and perfecting technologies for over thirty years. We boast a league of nearly a thousand techno-zealots who strive to innovate and change the landscape of healthcare for the better.

An Inventor's Legacy

The founder of DEKA, Dean Kamen, has always believed in the power of the contrarian few. His first major breakthrough came from tinkering in his mother’s basement after noticing the major complications diabetic women faced with pregnancy. After scaling and selling the first wearable insulin pump, AutoSyringe, he founded DEKA in 1982 to continue his work improving the lives of those in need. Dean is proud to cultivate DEKA as a place where no idea seems too big and where creativity and crazy cool gizmos reign supreme.

Granite State of Mind

DEKA is strategically located under an hour away from mountains, beaches, lakes, and cities. The DEKA campus spans the majority of the iconic Amoskeag Millyard, the largest industrial complex of its time.
